*General Summary:*
The System Administrator will administer and oversee the implementation, organization, and troubleshooting of the network, hardware, and underlying communications protocols.
*Essential Functions:*
* Evaluates and installs computer software, hardware, and
* network systems
* Troubleshoot computer and network issues, document
* in the IT ticket system
* Design, install, and upgrade data security systems
* Operate firewalls, file servers, and other computer
systems
* Continually monitor systems for security breaches and
risks
* Respond to user issues, concerns, problems, and
inquiries
* Anticipate problems and resolving them before they
impact users when possible
* Add, remove, or update user information like
passwords or internal email addresses
* Attend meetings and lead computer training sessions
* Monitor the assigned network, ensuring optimal function and minimal downtime.
* Monitor and analyzes network load including traffic and utilization trends.
* Ensures networks are protected from physical harm, viruses, unauthorized users, and damage to data by developing and monitoring security procedures or collaborating with network security staff.
* Drafts checklists, processes, and support trees, and knowledge bases for help desk and other support staff.
* Performs other duties as assigned.

*Minimum Required Qualifications (Education/Certification):*
• Possess a minimum of five (5) years of experience in the
resolution of issues related to desktop, servers, applications or network
systems in a Windows and/or Linux environment
• Ability to work on-site weekdays from 8am to 5pm including
the rare after hours and weekend work when necessary
• Excellent problem-solving and critical-thinking skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Excellent written and oral communication skills to help
other employees and improve IT Help documentation
• Ability to identify issues or threats in systems and
networks
• Keen attention to detail
• Leadership skills
• Excellent customer service skills
• Experience with virtualization technologies including Hyper-V
and VMware
• Knowledge of database systems a plus
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $55,000.
