Delivery Team Member

Job Summary: We are seeking a reliable team member to join our Delivery Crew.
As a Delivery Team Member, you will be responsible for safely transporting furniture to customers and ensuring timely deliveries without damage.
This is a physically demanding role that requires heavy lifting and the ability to work in the outdoor elements.
Duties: - Safely drive company vehicles, such as box trucks, to deliver goods to customers.
- Capability of pulling and backing up trailers.
- Unload furniture from semi trailers into warehouse.
- Load deliveries from warehouse into box truck or delivery barge for deliveries.
- Follow delivery schedules and routes provided.
- Ensure all deliveries are made on time and in accordance with customer requirements.
- Provide exceptional customer service during deliveries, including friendly communication and assistance, with a good attitude.
- Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including obtaining customer signatures for proof of delivery.
- Adhere to all traffic laws and safety regulations while operating the delivery vehicle.
- Perform routine inspections of the vehicle to ensure it is in good working condition.
- Report any vehicle maintenance or repair needs to the appropriate department.
Experience: - Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with customers - Familiarity with warehouse operations and procedures is a plus - Ability to lift heavy objects and perform physical tasks associated with loading and unloading deliveries Note: A valid driver's license is required for this position.
