SUMMARY
Primary responsibility is to Operate industrial trucks or tractors equipped to move materials around a warehouse, storage yard, factory, or similar location.
Adherence to DOT regulations and safety protocols is required.
This position will be local with hours of work Mon-Fri-6:00am-2:30pm with overtime as needed.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Performs pre-trip inspections of truck equipment and supplies such as tires, lights, brakes, gas, oil and water.
Drives truck or equipment to assigned location.
Maintains truck log, according to state and federal regulations.
Maintains telephone contact with supervisor to receive instructions.
Cleans inside of truck.
Must have a working knowledge and understanding of safety requirements and practice them.
When assigned, will open a work order so time may be charged out to assigning department.
Reports accidents to HR immediately, obtaining names, license numbers and other details.
Issues or obtains customer signature on receipt for pickup or delivery of vehicle or equipment.
Must work with and for all departments in harmony.
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS
This position requires a CDL Class A or B license and clean driving record to remain insurable.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
High School Diploma or GED
Must have current Class A CDL
A minimum of two years driving experience.
LANGUAGE SKILLS
Ability to speak, read and interpret documents in English.
Must also have the ability to speak effectively with customers or employees of the organization.
Required Skills and Qualifications
Class A CDL or commercial driver license.
Must pass drug and alcohol test.
Must have clean driving record.
Must provide current MVR.
Must provide a medical certificate.
High school diploma.

Proven commitment to safety.
Extremely detailed oriented and accurate.
Being able to set priorities and adapt to changing work priorities.
Meeting deadlines and schedules; must be able to work in a fast-paced environment

Working Conditions:
Work is conducted inside and outside during all-weather types.
Temperatures will be variable according to season and specific work site.
Tasks may involve moderate to heavy physical labor.
Walking, climbing, standing, sitting, and lifting are required
Physical Requirements:
Must be able to work in cold and hot weather conditions some part of the time.
Be able to grip, pull and push heavy objects.
Ability to work with hands and perform routine lifting up to 50 lbs.
Stand for extended periods of time.
