The Hotel operates 24 hours a day and 7 days a week, so operational demands require variations in shift days, starting times, and hours worked in a week.
Comprehensive knowledge of market position, banquet/food/beverage revenues, pricing/rate structures, sales strategies, yield management, booking trends, and future hotel planning
Knowledge of competitive markets outside the area
Knowledge of the capabilities and limitations of the hotel and departments that may impact sales strategies
Follow sales policies and procedures developed in the annual Marketing Plan
Develop customer base necessary to meet goals, utilizing existing accounts and new accounts from incoming leads
Prospect accounts for new business
Conduct site tours with potential clients
Attend trade shows as requested
Achieve and exceed individual and team goals as established by the annual Marketing Plan
Knowledge of the overall revenue of booking and to periodically evaluate, asses and revise the parameters of bookings
Achieve budgeted revenues/expenses and maximize profitability related to the sales department
Maintain procedures for credit control, financial transactions and security of financial assets
Promptly respond to and resolve guest requests, complaints or questions in a courteous and timely manner
Prepare presentations as needed
Accurately report information, including weekly reports
Assist with various accounting department tasks as needed
Attend required meetings
Conduct him\herself professionally at all times in actions and dress; setting standards for all associates
Occasional travel required
Flexible work schedule which includes over 50 hours per week if necessary, to service groups

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
Comprehensive knowledge of English language to effectively communicate with guests, associates and vendors
Good computer skills with proficiency on the internet and Microsoft Office
Able to work well with customers, both internal and external, to asses and analyze situations, making good judgements quickly
Able to adjust to high pressure conditions and be open to change
Can manage time and prioritize multiple responsibilities, working quickly and efficiently
Must have a comprehensive knowledge of all hotel departments and functions with 1-2 years of experience in hotel operations
Must have a comprehensive knowledge of applicable Federal, state, and local health, safety, and legal regulations
Must have exceptional mathematical and computer skills
High school education and relevant training and experience required.
